Stamford Bridge Sports Hall Association
Our community resource providing a social club, heritage centre, indoor sports hall, and youth club
A not-for-profit organisation
Welcome to The Old Station Club, Stamford Bridge, part of the Stamford Bridge Sports Halls Association and home of the Platform 66 Youth Club and Heritage Centre, the Indoor Sports Hall and the social Club.
The Stamford Bridge Sports Hall Association Ltd. was first registered in 1983 as a ‘not for profit, limited by Guarantee company’.
The Old Station Club has a busy calendar of regular and one-off social events as well as member teams participating in local darts and domino leagues.
We are proud to provide a fun, safe and exciting space for young people, from ages 6-16, ran by our dedicated and inspiring Youth Club Leaders.
The Indoor Sports Hall, which was formerly the Station Goods Shed, is situated at the rear of the Club Car Park. The Sports Hall is equipped with full changing facilities.
The Platform 66 Heritage Centre is the latest addition to the facilities at the Old Station Club. An unused part of the old Station house has been converted into a Heritage Centre and Youth Club, this has been an ongoing project over a number of years and was completed in 2020, but continues to develop.
The Stamford Bridge Tapestry commemorates the Battle of Stamford Bridge (September 25, 1066), when the Saxons defeated the Vikings so comprehensively that almost an entire generation of Viking warriors was wiped out.
